This is the second kit that I have gotten. I'm making it with all my kids high school sports shirts. I already made a wonderful one this spring with all my Relay for Life shirts. This is wonderful and so soft. I get a ton of good thoughts about it every time someone sees it.

The item is even better than described, it came very quickly and is inspiring to get me started,,, also, not intimidating if i feel like it is too much for me with a bag to send the project in if I want. Love it.

This is a wonderful, not-too-hard craft project that can result in a totally unique, fun gift. If you have a sewing machine and can sew seams, you can do this--aside from cutting your tee-shirts, all of the cutting and measuring has been done for you! I called the company for advice and spoke to the most lovely, helpful person who truly helped me. I've ordered a second kit!!

This product came ready to go out of the package and for just a simple [$] I was able to send it in to be professional created for me. The entire quilt was done within two weeks. I was so impressed that I created a second one.

I have not begun the sewing of the Memory Quilt, but I cannot wait to do so. My first impression upon opening the box was to see that the material is beautiful...a soft beige and not the khaki in the catalog. Even the texture was a wonderful surprise. I know that the color in the catalog is the result of the photography. In fact, I had put off ordering a kit because I did not want that army khaki brown. I'm so glad I finally ordered it, and I cannot wait to begin!

I bought this as a wedding gift assuming they would supply the shirts and send it somewhere and it would come back a quilt. Apparently, you have to pay an additional $85 to have the shirts turned into the quilt. I guess it's more the marketing's fault than the product but it was certainly not clear on the wedding registry page that it was not a full gift which made me sad.

It looks like it will be great once it is finished. What I do not like about it is that I am using T-shirts from when my children were in elementary school and the template is obviously designed for use with adult T-shirts. I am not sure how I am going to be able to alter this for my use.

My husband has been asking me to make his t-shirts into a quilt for over a year now. When I opened up the cataolg and saw that I was able to not only purchase a kit, but could send it in to be done correctly:) I JUMPED at it! We cut out the parts of the shirts we wanted in the quilt(using the template provided.) We arranged them in the order we wanted them and then took a picture of it(so the seamstress could see where we wanted each shirt placed. We have not received it yet, but with the way the fabric felt we cannot wait!

Since I do not quilt or sew myself, my initial intent when purchasing the first kit was to send it in to the service provided to be sewn together. A friend of mine who quilts as a hobby then offered to sew it together for me. I told her I had plans for an additional two quilts and she first suggested that I just buy the fabric myself instead of ordering additional kits. However, after working with the kit and seeing the quality of the components – she acknowledged that it was well worth the money spent!
