I was trying to figure out a meaningful, useful gift for my daughter who just left for college and was turning 18. I just spent a small fortune on "back to school" things, including a computer. Her father was buying her an I-Pod Touch, to replace a lost I-Pod. But I wanted it to be something special, but something she could use every day. I didn't want something she would put on a dresser to display or stick in a drawer in a couple weeks. I accidentally found this website and I could not believe the unique items. My daughter basically taught herself how to play the guitar and when I saw the sterling silver guitar necklace I thought this would be the perfect gift. It just so happened that the weekend of her birthday, she asked me if I would bring her guitar when I came to visit. I presented her with the gift and I explained to her that she could use it to play the guitar. she was so excited, she gave me a hug and and she immediately put it on. She thought it was really cool and loved it. I thought she was only trying it on to see how it looked. When I explained to her that the straps were adjustable she got a big smile on her face and told me she was going to wear it all the time. That was 2 weeks ago, and I have seen pictures of her since then, and in every one of them she was wearing it. Thank you for making my gift a success, useful and memorable.

It looks good and my fiance likes it, but I'm not sure it's worth the price. The main thing I was disappointed in was the cord. The photos indicate a black cord, but it is blue. Not as versatile as I would have liked. Will probably try to find another chain. Again, that is frustrating for the price. Still, cool idea and the pick has a good tone on an acoustic guitar when played.

My husband is a guitarist and I got this for him for his birthday and he really liked it. Now I don't have to worry about picking up the guitar picks he leaves laying about and also, when he goes to his lessons, he can just slip this over his head. The only drawback is that you have to use it while it is still attached to the cord. I like the style of the cord--it's very masculine, but it might be better if the pick could be easily removed from it. Unfortunately, that would also make it easier to lose. He doesn't see a problem with it being always attached. The pick is very substantial and looks great. I like the fact that it is hand sculpted--it has a very unique look.
