Please do not lick the art. This chocolate sandwich cookie and ice cream sandwich by artist Herbert Hoover look good enough to eat, but they are actually hand cast from pewter.
The chocolate cookie is a carbon copy of a store-bought one, right down to the tiny ridges and details on the edges and the slight overflow of vanilla cream center. The ice cream sandwich looks like it might melt at any minute with fluffy vanilla ice cream reaching beyond the rounded chocolate rectangles.
Hoover's mouthwatering pop art sculptures are reminiscent of Andy Warhol's everyday art creations. And these life-size treats are no exception.
Hand cast in New York City. Sold individually.

I'm giving this to a friend who loves actual ice cream sandwiches. I'm thinking she can use it as a paper weight. The only con is that it's smaller than it looked online (But still very cute), and it's wrapped in a waxy clear paper -so you can see through it, but I'm not sure if you're supposed to leave it in the wrapper or take it out.

I ordered this as a gift for an employee who expressed their love for Oreo cookies and thought it would make a great paper weight. She'll be getting it soon and I can't wait to see what she thinks of it.

This cookie is cute but it's much smaller then I had imagined. I would really love it if it were bigger.
