CLOCKY ALARM CLOCKS


Do you find yourself often saying the unaccountable phrase, "My alarm must not have gone off" or "I must have turned it off in my sleep"? Well, for all of you not-so-early birds who hate alarms, this is the alarm that you are going to love to hate. Unlike other clocks that you can easily hit the snooze button and fall back asleep, the Clocky Alarm Clock makes sure you get out of bed. Made in China.

How it works:

The alarm goes off once, but if you hit snooze Clocky jumps off your nightstand (up to 3 feet) and wheels around your room looking for a place to hide before it sounds the alarm a second time. The snooze time can be set from 0-9 minutes, so if you set it at 0 Clocky runs right away. Nothing like a little hide-and-seek to get you going in the morning.

I used to sleep through two separate alarms (one musical and one annoying beeping noise) on occasion. Luckily, I have the kind of job where this doesn't get you fired, but I still wanted it to stop. Clocky does the trick. I haven't slept past one snooze since I bought it. It freaks out my cats, but that's a small price to pay.

this morning i got up and chased the crazy thing around the room with my eyes closed until i banged into a dresser, then ended up lying sideways across the bed, on my stomach, with my head hanging off the bed and clutching the clock. every time it started warbling (about every two minutes or so) my head would jerk up and my hand would reflexively clench the snooze button. this went on for about 45 minutes before the haze finally lifted enough for me to stumble into the shower.

Nothing ever got me up before this. I had two alarm clocks and my cell phone to wake me up. I have to admit I still use the snooze. I catch it and go back to sleep and wait for the next snooze. Today I actually had enough time to make eggs for breakfast. I was lucky to get a breakfast bar on my way out the door before I got clockie. It is adorable and sounds like R2D2 for all you Star Wars fans.

As a chronic over-sleeper, clocky has been an amazing addition to my morning routine. It truly is the alarm clock you CANNOT sleep through! I highly recommend it - but be aware, no one else in your house is going to sleep through this alarm either!
