"Ad astra per aspera" is latin for "To the stars through difficulty," and this frosted plate made from recycled glass certainly represents hope in a difficult struggle. For each sale, 10 percent of the profits go to AIDS service organizations in Pittsburgh, which provide support and service to people with HIV and to their families and friends. These beautiful platters will add an understated artful touch to your table and also remind you to never lose hope. Gold charger plate shown below stars plate is sold separately. Handcrafted in Pennsylvania, each plate is hand cut from pre-consumer/ post-industrial recycled glass, then color is hand screened onto the glass. The plates are fired and sandblasted for texture. Each plate comes with a certificate about the "Plates With Purpose" program.
