Uncommon Knowledge: Each year, roughly 300 tons of glass bottles are donated by wineries and recycling organizations across the country to be turned into glasses like these. And because they are made from prefab bottles that don't need to be crushed or melted, the glasses use less energy to create than normal glassware.

After one month of washing them in the dishwasher, they not only faded but 3 are completely gone of any etching. You need to hand wash them, which is a pain. I wouldn't buy them again unless you only care about the color.

I thought the glasses were really cool, and pretty much what I was expecting when I ordered them. The only complaint I have is that there was no description card included with them. I feel that since there is story behind all of the products, it would have been nice to have something included in the box. I had to type one up myself since I was giving them as a gift. That is the only complaint I have, they were great.

We loved the 'protect our earth' glasses so much we bought the 'protect our water' set. Less than a year later and the etching is almost completely gone. Now they're just green and blue glasses.
