This was a gift for a teenage girl. She loved it.

Delivery was prompt. I was disappointed that the bamboo lid was cracked when it arrived but some glue and a black sharpie made it look good as new.

Dao is a great game. Easy to teach (less than a minute), easy to play, yet very challenging and interesting. Experience and time playing the game will lead to a deeper appreciation for it's strategy levels. This game will be a popular "family gift" for me. The quality of the game board and package is wonderful. Someone indicated in a review that the bamboo is Faux Bamboo, this is not correct. The packaging and board are indeed real bamboo, even the lid is constructed from bamboo. The bamboo is stained and finished, but it is real. This plays into a secondary "cool factor", the game is made of all natural sustainable materials and plays to the "Green" minded individual. The etched (laser engraved) artwork on the game mat and packaging is far superior to a printing that would eventually rub off. Everyone I've shown my game to wants one, it's that cool.

The game is very interesting, visually, and it doesn't take a lot of storage space. Either gender enjoys it, but guys seem to be especially keen on it.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he's into trying new/different and not your regular board games. The Dao Deluxe was perfect. Not only is it easy to play (not so easy to win!) it looks great! Great price, too. I saw the same game at [...]for the same price in a cheap beat up tin.

The pictures do not do this product justice at all. It came well packaged and it's just beautiful! I almost didn't have the heart to play it, not wanting to leave fingerprints or anything on the smooth, shiny bamboo case. This is truly a game that can be passed down through the years. The only bad things I can think of is it's not something a little kid would be interested in, unless they're the intellectual type and I wish the stones would be more on par with the rest of the package. More polished, that is.

I bought this as a gift for my uncle. He and his son have played this game several times since receiving it. My uncle has commented that he loves the game because it's a quick game that is fun for adults and children. I am thinking about getting this for myself because my children love to play games, but they always pick the ones that take hours to play!

Nice gift for those who love games, especially startegy-based games. I gave this to a friend as a gift. The packaging was nice (a faux bamboo tube) and serves to store the game. The instructions were clear & easy to follow, allowing for immediate play.
