The product is a "nice to have" gadget for the novice. For those who want to know what the temperature of the wine is "exactly", forget about it. This will get you in the ball park though. Its also kinda stylish. But If you have a wine cellar or cooler and you want to know the wine temp, You are going to need a hydrometer in a sample bottle full of water to get some accuracy. There are also hydrometers that you insert once your bottle is opened. The question is; to what lengths are you willing to go to serve a properly chilled bottle of wine. Hope this helps.

What a great device! Check the temperature of your wine while still in the bottle. It even has the proper temps for each type of wine on the thermometer. I bought one for myself and one a gift.

it does what its sapposed to and is easy to read and use. Im a littlee worried that that light weight of the design means it is flimsy - so far so good . Would be great accessory in a wine basket gift !

It's great because you can tell the temperature of the bottle before you even open it, giving you the option to put it on ice, or heat things up if you need to. It also has a recommended temperature listing on the outside so you always know the suggested serving temperature.

This is a fun little toy, and useful at that! Pretty accurately tells the temperature of the wine. Also, has a helpful guide on it to show what wines should be at what temperature -- useful for the inexperienced wine drinkers like me!

This wine thermometer is attractive and subtle, but gives the impression of refinement. I bought two, one for me and one for a wine-themed wedding gift. I can't wait to give it! It takes a minute to register the proper temp, but wine can breathe in the mean time.
