I frequently serve soup and bread or chili and cornbread. This product allows a bowl and a place for your bread. Will also be great for soup and sandwiches. I have been looking for something like this for a couple of years, but thought this was too expensive. It is pricy, but I think I will use it enough to make it worthwhile.

This is a great set, and a deal since two plates and two bowls come together. I use the plate by itself and have a side dish in the circular slot where the bowl would go if needed, I served a friend dinner on the plate and she was impressed. It is a grown up version of the kids plates with separation if you don't like your food to touch. :) Very cool, I will probably order another set.

We eat a lot of soup and sandwiches/paninis. This set is so practical for that purpose! It is very durable and the soup bowl holds a lot of soup. I even bought my Mom a set and she loves them!

Now that I lost my husband, I find it difficult to keep a normal eating schedule. This encourages me to at least be able to sit down and eat without having to pull out all the dishware and stare down at it.

My favorite meal on this -- baby greens with pear and scallions with a cherry rosemary dressing with a grilled swiss cheese croissant with pear preserves.

My favorite dessert on this -- molten chocolate with a huge dollop of vanilla bean ice cream. On the side are home-made croutons of grilled pound cake sprinkled with cinnamon sugar which are then dipped into the chocolate.
