I have always loved the sound of buoys, and to find an Outer Banks buoy bell was amazing--I love the OBX. The bell is extremely sturdy and the craftsmanship is amazing. Although it is too heavy for a shepards hook in my garden as I originally planned, I found another, more sturdy place to hang it. The fact that it can be silenced is a major plus for those stormy and windy spring nights. I love the sound--very authentic and incredibly relaxing.

I bought one for my husband and it hangs right outside our family room (in the city); it is a lovely sound as well as nice to look at. I bought another for my nephew (in the country) and he loves it. The best part is that they are not annoying when they ring.
