I love to support artists and also love pieces of art that aren't necessarily functional. I was not looking for this product to be the end-all-be-all but thought it perhaps would be a conversation piece or a unique bedside item for the guest room. It falls short of all my hopes. The description is better than the product's true attributes. The color is fantastic and the natural egg shape is organically pleasing but when switched on this "cheap" looking byproduct of strange shapes do not seem twinkling, fun, bedazzling or relaxing. Perhaps the problem in the shape of the filament in the bulb but it just seemed like something [...] Other's agreed. It's not a good deal if you feel you could do the same at the farmer's market for $40. Too bad!

The product is really cute but smaller than I expected. The design is simple (the egg rests on a silver base that holds the light bulb). I gave this as a gift and I was disappointed in the box - it's very industrial. I had to create a nice way to present it to show off it's unique character.
