This was a perfect gift for the microbiologist in my life! She recognized it right away as DNA! Although it is a delicate piece, it does not feel fragile at all. The tiny tag that says "DNA" is a nice touch.\n\nMy only complaint is that it is a bit large for her wrists (and her wrists are not skinny), and the length is not easily adjusted.
