I bought both of the sizes for my mother-in law for Christmas. I know she is going to love them. We both live at the beach and love decorating w/ seashells, so Iknow she'll love putting them at the bottom. I was very pleased w/ how large they were, much bigger than I expected. I saw very similar hurricane candle holders at a winery recently and loved them. Began searching and searching until I found these from Uncommon Goods. They are almost exactly like the ones I saw at the winery. I have since bought 3 [...]! I love that they have a space underneath where the candle sits to add different things. Currently I have wine corks in mine, like they did at the winery. But you can add any seasonal decor, like flowers, pinecones,or shells etc. I really like these hurricane candle holders and I am not a candle person!!!

These hurricanes will be alternated with rectangular vases of flowers on every other table at a wedding reception. We will add pinecones,eucalyptus, berries and black smooth Japanese river rock in the bottom of the hurricanes.Afterwards the hurricanes can be used as vases themselves.
