These 8-inch plates are as charming and decorative as they appear, and they're so sturdy and practical, I use them daily. They are indeed microwave proof (I don't use dishwasher, so I can't say, but I'm sure that claim also is true). The antique French Camembert designs make me smile with every use, and the size is ideal for many uses that don't require a full-size dinner plate. The sturdy presentation box has on the lid one of the plate designs and can be used for another purpose after the plates are removed.

I found these plates at several Internet vendors and one store in a nearby state, and Uncommon Goods (UG) proved to be my best choice. Unlike some companies which sell these plates only in two sets of four each (must buy 8 plates), UG offered them in fours, with the most reasonable price and shipping rates of all. I live in Virginia and UG is located in NYC. I received my order, well packed and in perfect condition, within 3-4 days of my order.
