These lamps have been my go-to baby gift for years and, after nightly use for nearly five years, we've just had to replace our original elephant with a frog. These lamps are wonderful alternatives to nightlights - my kids are so grabby that I didn't like the idea of a nightlight sticking out of a socket. I use nighlight bulbs [...] (the included bulb is too bright for this purpose). We love them!

I bought this as a gift for my friend who is expecting. She absolutely loved it! It gives off a very soft light so it's perfect in an area where you want dim lighting. It was a tad smaller than I expected and since it's made primarily out of paper I'm not sure how easy it would be to clean. But overall I think it was a wonderful purchase and it was unique gift!

I use the froggy for my son's room, and the pig for my daughters room. The only thing I changed was the bulb. The lamps do come w/ a bulb, but I switched both to a nightlight bulb. I thought the one that was sent was a little too bright for both rooms. They are darling! I would buy again, would be a great baby shower gift

This is such a cute lamp - when illuminated - you can see the shadow of the little curly pig's tail in the light on the wall! It's a great item for a kid's room or even for a whimsical adult's room.

The first time I got this, the cord was packaged inside the lamp and had ripped through it at several points. Uncommon Goods was great about it - just sent me a new one. Because the lamp is delicate, I'd recommend asking that the cord be packaged separately.

As noted, the animal design & shape of this lamp (and the whole lineup) is adorable but I was disappointed in the overall concept. The cord is the primary letdown for several reasons. On one end is where you screw in the light bulb and this "snaps" into a wire apparatus in the middle of the lamp. The cord also has the on/off switch and every time I reached to grab the cord to turn it on or off it would move the light bulb inside the lamp as well as the whole lamp. Also, the cord is so long and heavy and the light fixture so light that every time I tried to find a place to hang the on/off switch off to the side of the nightstand it would pull the whole lamp toward the edge of the nightstand and even pull it off entirely. The walls of the lamp are made of paper and given that this makes for a delicate lamp, I can't figure out why the designer or creators would not design a better more traditional light bulb setup and lighter cord and maybe a better on/off switch.
