SPREAD THE WORD!
DEADLINE: May 31, 2014 at 11:59pm ET.
WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?
Whatever your creative heart desires. Perhaps the better question is what should I not submit? As a company that is animal-friendly -- designs made of lead, leather, suede, bones, feathers, pearls, and antlers won't be sold on our site. But we love unique materials that tell an interesting story. Don't forget to share that story with us through your product description and with alternate images.
WHAT ARE BUYERS LOOKING FOR?
We take the term "uncommon" pretty seriously around here and are on the hunt for truly unique products. Our buyers love anything that has an exciting story so tell us about it in your entry. Where does your inspiration come from? What hurdles have you jumped to get to your beautiful finished product? Lastly, we love a product made from unique, unexpected materials, and we love it even more if those materials are reclaimed. Not a requirement, but it would make us smile.
WHAT DO I GET IF I WIN?
If you are our grand prize winner - and let's face it, why wouldn't you be? - you'll receive $1000 cash (OK it's a check, but you get the idea) and a potential contract with UncommonGoods. You'll work with your assigned buyer to decide how your product will be sold based on your production capacity. Your jewelry design will be shown on UncommonGoods.com, in our marketing emails, and possibly in the catalog. You also reserve the right for a judgment-free victory dance.
WHAT IF I DON'T WIN?
This question bums us out, but all runners-up will receive a critique of their work from the guest judges, will receive tips for marketing and growing their businesses from the UncommonGoods marketing team, and may still be considered for entrance into our collection.
I STILL HAVE A QUESTION!
