SPREAD THE WORD!
WHAT DO I GET IF I WIN?
If you are our grand prize winner - and let's face it, why wouldn't you be? - you'll receive $500 cash (Ok it's a check, but you get the idea) and a vendor contract at UncommonGoods. You'll work with our furniture buyer, Alexis, to decide how your product will be sold based on your production capacity. Your design will be shown on UncommonGoods.com, in our marketing emails, and possibly in the catalog. You also reserve the right for a judgment-free victory dance.
WHAT IF I DON'T WIN?
This question bums us out, but all runners-up will receive a critique of their work from the guest judges, UncommonGoods' marketing team will provide tips for marketing and growing their businesses, and may still be considered for entrance into our collection.
WHAT CAN I SUBMIT?
We want to see your designs of functional furniture - which includes, but is not limited to, sofas, chairs, tables, desks, chests, dressers, lighting fixtures, and shelving units. Perhaps the better question is what should I not submit? Well, obviously you should not submit any non-furniture items. But also, as a company that is animal-friendly, designs made of leather, suede, bones, and antlers won't be sold on our site.
WHAT ARE BUYERS LOOKING FOR?
We're pretty new to the furniture-selling world, but you should check out our furniture collection to see what we're selling. Our buyers love anything that has an exciting story so tell us about it in your entry. Where does your inspiration come from? What hurdles have you jumped to get to your beautiful finished product? Lastly, we love a product made from unique, unexpected materials, and we love it even more if those materials are reclaimed. Not a requirement, but it would make us smile.
I STILL HAVE A QUESTION!
