Colleen Lin

Artist Bio

Colleen Lin heard a quote one day that perfectly encapsulated her work: "The work you do while you procrastinate is probably the work you should be doing for the rest of your life" ~ Jessica Hische For her, that's drawing and making beautiful things. She has always drawn and painted, "In junior high I even made a green papier-mâché dragon the size of the dining table (my mother was very patient with me)." Her inspirations are many and varied: photos, movies, songs — her desire is to take that inspiration to make something beautiful that spreads joy. Color is a key element as well, "I'm very attracted to color, and the way colors play together and what they communicate. I almost always choose bright, strong, cheerful colors: I think it's best to put back into the world what you want out of it!"
