Dave Zuverink became obsessed with finding a wallet that was thin enough to go in his front pocket along with an iPhone without creating a big bulge. As he describes, "I refined the design by creating over 100 prototypes, learning to sew in the process. I carried versions around with me for over a year to test out various design alternatives."
In addition to its durability and light weight, Dave chose Tyvek for its environmental benefits. Technically a sheet plastic, it's made from 25% post-consumer recycled material and is 100% recyclable.
Originally trained in Industrial Design, Dave went on to become an interaction designer in Silicon Valley. He says, "I really enjoyed turning back to my product design roots to create the SlimFold!"
