Debbie Howe specializes in jewelry that reflects the vocation or avocation of the wearer. This seriously fun jewelry all started in 1990 when she made her chef-husband a gold knife pin for Valentine's Day. From that first pin have evolved many items for the chef, the gardener and the gourmet.
A distinguishing feature of her jewelry is the attention to detail. Each piece is meticulously handmade in the USA of sterling silver. Some pieces employ 18k or gemstone details to achieve a precise miniature replica of a particular tool or symbol.
Debbie Howe has an MFA from the State University of New York at New Paltz. She also attended the Provincetown Art Association Museum School, as a scholarship student, and was a resident at the prestigious artist's colony Yaddo, in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Her jewelry has been featured in many publications including Bon Appetit, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times and The Dallas Morning News. She lives in Rhinebeck, NY with her husband and daughter.
